Xiaomi Redmi 7 Pro With Waterdrop-Shaped Notch, 5.84-Inch Display

Earlier this month, the Xiaomi Redmi 7 series reportedly passed through 3C certification and now

A Xiaomi smartphone with the model number M1901F9T has been spotted on TENAA, hinting at an imminent launch.

While there has been no confirmation from Xiaomi, this device is expected to be a part of the Redmi 7 series and is reportedly dubbed as the Xiaomi Redmi 7 Pro. In addition to this, the Redmi 7 series will also include the Redmi 7 and Redmi 7A smartphones.

After launching phones with wide notches, Xiaomi may be following the footsteps of its Chinese counterparts Oppo and Vivo to launch a smartphone with a water drop notch screen. At the back, the device sports vertically arranged AI dual rear cameras along with an LED flash and a fingerprint sensor.

The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro was also launched with a 5.84-inch display so it is likely that this device is its successor. It measures 147.76 × 71.89 × 7.8mm and is reported to be powered by a 2,900mAh battery, which is a downgrade as the Redmi 6 Pro features a 4,000mAh battery.

The smartphones with model numbers M1901F7C, M1901F7E and M1901F7T are expected to be announced in January 2019 as part of the Redmi 7 series. Interestingly, the Redmi 6 series unveiled earlier this year featured model number starting with M18, giving more credibility to the reports that the above devices are part of the Redmi 7 series.

In addition to this, Xiaomi is also working on two other smartphones – the Xiaomi Play and a smartphone with a 48-megapixel camera. The Xiaomi Play is a gaming-centric smartphone and is expected to be announced on December 24 and the second smartphone will be a camera-centric device. We should know more about the Xiaomi Redmi 7 series in the coming days. At the back, the device sports vertically arranged AI dual rear cameras along with an LED flash and a fingerprint sensor.
