Xiaomi Mi A2 Red Variant With 6GB RAM And 128GB Storage Now Available

, Xiaomi announced that the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant will arrive later in the market. Now, the company launched the new 6GB RAM variant in India and the smartphone is up for sale in Amazon India. The Mi A2 Red color edition with 6GB RAM has been priced the same as the other variants at Rs 18,999. Last week, to celebrate the No.1 smartphone vendor in India in the Q3, Xiaomi slashed prices for its selected popular smartphones including Xiaomi Mi A2 in India by up to Rs 1,000. With the latest price cut, the base model of Xiaomi Mi A2 with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is now priced at Rs 15,999, whereas the latest one with the 6GB RAM is priced at Rs. 18,999.

Mi A2 Specifications

The Mi A2 sports a 5.99-inch full-HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 2160 x 1080 pixel resolution. Mi A2 is company’s first phone in India to offer the Gorilla Glass 5 on top while device’s front panel features Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for top protection. The display of the Mi A2 is almost bezel-less and comes without a notch. The frame of the device is made of aluminum alloy and looks premium in hand.

As the Mi A1 and Mi A2 is the Google’s initiative, the phone is said to offer regular software updates for the next two years. While the Mi A2 runs a stock OS of Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Moreover, Google and Xiaomi promised that the Mi A2 will be the fastest phone to get new Android P update by the end of this year.

Mi A2 has the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 SoC coupled with Adreno 512 GPU for graphics. Although, the phone has two variants one with 4 GB RAM plus 64 GB internal another one with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal.

Coming to the camera of the Mi A2, the device has a 12MP Sony IMX486 with f/1.75 aperture and a 20MP Sony IMX376 secondary sensor with a f/1.75 aperture on the rear. The front camera is a 20MP one with LED flash. The device packs a 3,010mAh battery and the variant will support Qualcomm’s QuickCharge 4.0. Still, there is no fast-charger in the box. Interestingly, the new Mi A2 does not have a microSD slot and headphone jack.
