Vivo Y93 gets officially listed, India launch imminent

Chinese smartphone maker Vivo is expected to announce a new budget device, dubbed as the Vivo Y93 in India

While there has been no announcement from the company, the device has been listed online on the company’s website.

Vivo had earlier launched the Vivo Y93 in China, however, the device listed in India looks similar to the Vivo Y93s that was launched earlier this month. The listing has revealed the design and specifications of the upcoming device.

Vivo Y93 specifications

The Vivo Y93 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with the company’s FunTouch OS 4.5 skin on top. It features a 6.2-inch HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) resolution Halo FullView display with a 19:9 aspect ratio.

In terms of performance, the Vivo Y93 is powered by an octa core MediaTek Helio P22 SoC coupled with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. In terms of memory, the device features 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. In China, the Vivo Y93 is powered by an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

Coming to the camera department, the Vivo Y93 features a dual camera setup at the back consisting a 13MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, the device sports an 8MP selfie camera with f/1.8 aperture.

The Vivo Y93 is powered by a 4,030mAh battery. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, FM Radio, 3.5mm audio jack and a micro USB port. There is a fingerprint sensor placed at the back of the device.

Vivo Y93 pricing and availability

There has been no announcement from Vivo about the device’s Indian pricing and availability. As the device has been listed online, we expect the company to reveal more details in the coming days. We expect the device to be priced around ₹14,000 in India.
