As the dust settles over the recent launch of Apple’s latest Smartphone iPhone 7 and 7 plus, it is that time of the year when social media plays host to several heated debates between Android and Apple fans. This year we decided to join the fun and check out ourselves who is actually more advanced. After carefully studying the specifications of both the platforms, we came to a conclusion that Apple has indeed borrowed several key features for iPhone 7 that already exist in Android phones. Some of them are discussed here:
Key iPhone 7 features that already exist in Android Phones:
1) Dust and water Resistance:
With much fanfare Tim Cook announced that the newly launched iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus will be water as well as dust resistant. While the die hard Apple fans went crazy with this newly revealed feature, it can be recalled that dust and water resistant Smartphones isn’t a new concept for Android phones at all. In fact Sony has been unveiling water as well dust resistant Smartphones for several ages now. The latest Samsung flagship S7 also possesses this “new” feature.
2) Absence of 3.5mm jack:
The iPhone 7 doesn’t sport a 3.5 mm audio jack, but so doesn’t the LeEco’s Le 2 and Le 2 Max. In fact they use the CLDA technology as a substitute to 3.5 mm jack. It seems that 3.5 mm jack is going to become obsolete in near future.
3) Dual Camera Setup:
Again with great revolutionary style marketing, Apple announced the dual camera abilities of the iPhone 7 plus. One of the lenses is a wide angle lenses, and the other one is a telephoto lens. However, the dual lens setup is not new in Android Smartphones. The recently launched Huawei P9 as well as LG G5 both support this camera feature.
