Samsung Galaxy S8+ 6GB RAM, 128GB Storage Variant Gets Price Cut Again in India

Last month, Samsung slashed the price of the Galaxy S8+ variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage in India by Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 70,900. Now, the company has cut the price of the same variant yet again, this time by Rs. 5,000 in the country. This means, the Samsung Galaxy S8+ 6GB RAM variant is now available for Rs. 65,900, which is just Rs. 1,000 more than the price of the variant with 4GB and 64GB built-in storage in India.

 The 6GB RAM variant of the flagship smartphone from Samsung can now be purchased via offline retailers or online from Flipkart and the Samsung store. However, the model is currently being shown as sold out on Flipkart at the time of writing this article.
 To recall, the highest-end variant of the Samsung Galaxy S8+ comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, in comparison with 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage on the other model, but has identical features otherwise. The highlight feature on the Galaxy S8+ is its Infinity Display, which comes with narrow bezels and taller-than-usual aspect ratio of 18.5:9.

The Samsung Galaxy S8+ India variants are powered by the Samsung Exynos 8895 SoC,. The Galaxy S8+ sport a 6.2-inch QHD+ (1440×2960 pixels) Super AMOLED display certified by the UHD Alliance as Mobile HDR Premium. The octa-core Samsung Exynos 8895 SoC sports a quad-core module clocked at 2.35GHz, and another quad-core module clocked at 1.9GHz. The 128GB variant is paired with 6GB of RAM. The inbuilt storage is expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB) in a hybrid dual-SIM configuration.

The Galaxy S8+ smartphone features 12-megapixel ‘Dual Pixel’ rear cameras with optical image stabilisation and an f/1.7 aperture. On the front, the smartphones bear 8-megapixel front cameras with autofocus, and also bear an f/1.7 aperture. Connectivity options include 4G LTE (Cat. 16), Wi-Fi802.11ac (2.4GHz, 5GHz), Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C, NFC, and GPS. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, gyroscope, heart rate sensor, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.They both support Samsung Pay, with NFC and MST connectivity.
