Realme U1 – AI 25MP, India’s SelfiePro: First Impressions

Realme, a sub-brand of OPPO sold over a million smartphones in 7 months.

After it’s debut in the market. In a very short span of time, it became one of the top four online brands. Today, Realme launched its fifth smartphone targeting the young population in the country, the new U series, Realme U1.

Realme U1 is launched at a price of Rs 11,999 for the base variant and the 4GB RAM and 64GB which is the top end variant is priced at Rs 14,499.  Realme U1 will go on sale on 5th December 12:00 PM.

Realme U1 Specifications

Realme U1 got a 6.3-inch edge-to-edge display running at full HD+ resolution, and as an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. On the rear, it has a 12-megapixel primary and a 2-megapixel depth dual camera setup. This smartphone is available in 3GB RAM and 32GB  and  4GB RAM and 64GB storage variants. There is an external MicroSD card, which enables to expand the storage capacity.

It is also backed up with a powerful battery of 3,500mAh battery with a rapid charge feature. It supports dual sim, dual standby 4G VoLTE.  Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and micro USB port are other standard connectivity options available.

Comments on Realme U1

Realme U1 is another smartphone from the company targeting the young audience in the country. With a very affordable price tag, it also got many premium features like a big front-facing camera, premium look, and a powerful MediaTek processor. The close competitor for the U1 is the most recent launch from Xiamoi, the Redmi Note 6 Pro which is priced around Rs. Rs. 13,999. Let us wait and see how Realme 1 will stand in the most competitive affordable smartphone battle.
