Moto G7 Power FCC listing reveals 5,000mAh battery

The long awaited Moto G7 specs have been leaked recently courtesy of a FCC listing.

This year, there will be 4 phones in the lineup- the Moto G7, Moto G7 Play, Moto G7 Plus and Moto G7 Power. Motorola has previously released Play and Plus models, but the Power variant is a new addition to the lineup.

According to the listing, the Play and Plus versions are the low and high-end variants. The new Power variant is the midrange phone out of the four variants that have been leaked. The same variant also carries a powerful 5000mAH battery, taking a note from the Motorola One Power phone that was released a few months back. The Power variant of the phone could be the one with model number XT1955- 4.

In the leaks, information about the design, the dimensions, battery capacity and connectivity were revealed. The design in the graphic reveals nothing about the display dimensions but it does tell us that the phone has a width of 76mm and a length of 159mm. The rear is also seen to have a single camera at the back.

As for connectivity, the phone has NFC capabilities, but that would depend on the consumers’ region of purchase. The phone has all the usual LTE, GSM and WCDMA bands as well but again, some of the bands may depend upon the region. Additionally, the phone has got certification for Bluetooth and WLAN.

Evidence suggests that the Moto G7 Power, code-named “ocean,” will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 platform with the Adreno 506 GPU. The Moto G7 Play will also use the same Snapdragon processor. The phones will come in 2, 3, and 4 GB RAM versions, and there will be 32 or 64GB storage models. It is unclear how the RAM and storage models will be put together.

As for the camera, there seems to be just the single camera at the back. The camera will have a 12-megapixel sensor which will take cues from the Moto Z3’s cinemagraph feature. The feature allows the single lens to capture depth effect and more detail than an average single camera. The camera at the front will have an 8-megapixel sensor.
