Karan Johar announces “Kesari” and “Brahmastra”- released soon

Karan Johar has recently announced two upcoming movies- Kesari and Brahmastra. India has been involved in various battles throughout history and one of the underdogs of battles is the Battle of Saragarhi.

About the Battle

The Battle of Saragarhi was fought before the Trah Campaign. It was fought between the Sikh regiment of the British Army and the Pashtun Orakzai tribesmen. The contingent consisted of 21 Sikh soldiers of the 36 commissioned. They were stationed at the army post in the North Western Frontier Province when they were attacked by around 10,000 Afghans, and they decided to fight till the death.

The men fought bravely as help couldn’t be sent to the post immediately. The regiment led by Ishar Singh, resisted all attempts of the Pashtuns to breach the inner wall. The war is knows as one of the greatest last stands in history.

“Kesari”

Karan Johar recently announced the release of his much awaited movie, Kesari, based on the Battle of Shargarhi. The movie is maid in collaboration with Akshay Kumar. It is directed by Anurag Singh and stars Akshay Kumar. Karan Johar recently posted on Twitter and the post read: ““Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar proudly present Kesari based on one of the bravest battles fought in India ‘The Battle of Saragarhi.’ Directed by Anurag Singh and starring Akshay Kumar. Releasing Holi 2019.”

Brahmastra

Brahmastra is a fantasy adventure starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Amitabh Bacchan. Its Ayan Mukherji’s directorial debut and will be released in the form of a trilogy. he movie is being produced by Karan Johar who also made its announcement on Twitter. “A TRILOGY… A FANTASY ADVENTURE… A LABOUR OF LOVE… “BRAHMASTRA”, his post read on Twitter. The film is scheduled to release on August 15, 2019.
