Junoon’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan
The wave of “Swachh Bharat ” by our dearest and dynamic Prime Minister Modiji is gaining pace day by day. Many felt and have changed the mindset towards the clean India. I remember his words describing, his encounter with his mother about regular sweeper which dignifies the cleaners and sweepers, rightfully said by Modiji’s mother is really true.
“Kachrewala wo nhi hum he… wo toh safai wala h “
Cleanliness is next to godliness.
Now this is the most heard and very well known quote about cleanliness. Mahatma Gandhi, Swami Vivekanand and many leaders encouraged cleanliness and even walked the talk. Abiding the same on Youth day celebrated in honor of Swami Vivekanand’s birthday we met a group of Young guns.
Junoon the positively motivated, with marvelous energy and a sense responsibility towards the society took the broom and cleaned the Pune Railway station. Members in Junoon belong to different colleges but share one single motive of social awareness.
We cleaned the area surrounding the statue of Mahatma Gandhi outside the station. Then at the station, we cleaned the officers’ siding( which was allotted to us by the railway authorities when we asked for the permission ). It was extremely dirty. We could find anything and everything thrown out there, from playing cards to rotten tomatoes. We then put up a number of posters aimed at making people aware of their responsibility to keep our country clean.
