Huawei on Friday launched its mid-range Maimang 6 smartphone with some truly flagship features in China. The Maimang 6 has been priced by the company at CNY 2,399 (roughly Rs. 23,600). The company has already started taking pre-orders for the handset but it will be made available starting September 30. It will be offered in Streamer Gold, Obsidian Black, and Aurora Blue colours.
Starting off with the highlight features on the handset directly, the Huawei Maimang 6 comes with dual camera setups at the front as well as back. The rear dual camera setup comes with a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a secondary 2-megapixel sensor. The front dual camera setup comes with a primary 13-megapixel sensor and again a secondary 2-megapixel sensor for taking selfies. The smartphone packs a 5.9-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) display with 18:9 aspect ratio, which is quickly becoming an industry standard in the case of Android smartphones.
Moving to the other specifications, the dual-SIM (hybrid) Huawei Maimang 6 runs EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat. The handset is powered by octa-core Kirin 659 SoC with four cores clocked 2.36GHz and other four cores at 1.7GHz. The Maimang 6 packs 4GB of RAM and comes with 64GB of built-in storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB).
The smartphone houses a 3340mAh battery, measures 156.2×75.2×7.5mm, and weighs 164 grams. The connectivity options offered by the Huawei Maimang 6 include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, Wi-Fi, and NFC.
