CHAPTERS 7 to 11
By listening to religious scriptures a person gains knowledge about religion. You can get rid of evil-ideas by talking to a scholar, and on following the advice of a guru you’ll easily reach the door-steps of heaven.
Crow is most cunning amongst the birds, a dog is among the animals. In sages, the one with short temper is the most harmful. Among all, most harmful is the person jealous of you.
A ruler gets fame on visiting different parts of his kingdom, a preacher gets glory by spreading knowledge in foreign territories, and same happens with a Yogi traveling distant places.
A person with sufficient money makes a lot many friends and even more relatives. Interestingly he is also considered wise and full of wisdom.
The Kaal [time] consumes every person and everything. It can and it will destroy everything. It’s in action even when you are asleep.
A person born as blind is unable to see things and same is the case with people in love. An alcoholic cannot differentiate between good and bad. Similarly, a selfish person gets blind with his selfish goals.
A father who leaves debt for children is like an enemy.
You can win a greedy by offering money, a proud person by pretending your devotion, you can win a fool by agreeing with him, and you can win a scholar by truth and only truth.
It is better to have no friends, pupils and wife than having bad ones.
If you are facing loss in business or your heart is broken, don’t share such information with others. One must not discuss scandals of family and incidents of insult. People might try to exploit your weaknesses.
You are happy only when your mind is at peace; running after wealth is simply an act of foolishness.
One must be satisfied with whatever he has as wife, wealth, and income. One must never get satisfied with knowledge and acts of charity.
It is considered safe to be five arms away from a bullock cart, ten arms away from a horse, thousand arms from an elephant. Anyhow, there is no safe distance in whole country when it comes to avoiding a wicked person.
A person with polite tone, pure-heart, compassion, and self disciplined nature is one who qualifies for Nirvana.
Those who desire only wealth belong to lowest class of people. Who desire wealth and respect are above them. Men who desire honor and respect are superior to all.
