16th December 2014, Tuesday, Morning struck with startling brightness with a swirl of really damn chilling wind, freezing the entire day. Something is missing, isn’t it? Like any other day, today too we got up, caught up with our daily chores at the end of the day with a warm cup of coffee, sitting and thinking… “Damn freezing day!”So sad for all of us, in the midst of a self – centered and juvenile lifestyle forgot ‘16th December 2012 – THE NIRBHAYA CASE’; the day when not only the humanity was kicked hard but also offended the agitation of every feminine all over the country.
Two years ago, on the same date was the day when the staunch belief and respect towards women just fell apart and became a victim of obscene wrath. Also known as ‘THE DELHI GANG RAPE’ that occurred in South Delhi, where a 23 year old female was raped and fatally assaulted in a private bus by six men: Ram Singh, Mukesh Singh, Vinay Sharma, Pawan Gupta, Akshay Thakur and still one undetermined suspect. The topic that enraged most of us that time, the issue that evolved the system of fast track courts in our country for sexual assault and nevertheless the heart trembling and soul striking incident ‘DELHI GANG RAPE’ that was held on the same date, two years ago. Now do you think you missed something?
When we go back in time, on the same date; we surely can’t forget the immense agitations and riots that were held against this incident. But today, 2 years after the same incident? We are back to our normal lives, forgetting the most immoral and heinous that held a tight slap on humanity… as if nothing happened. The girl is dead and so are the six victims. But what about the mindset of similar such atrocious and rancorous people; are those dead yet?
Thinking and mindset of the people cannot be changed forcefully or neither can it be changed automatically. Yes, indeed the government is doing their bit in eradicating all of it … but all of it is vain as long as we ourselves don’t give our bit. One side we as Indians, staunch believers of feminine power in the form of our mothers and the other side we still see such rancidity against women respect.
The thinking and mindset of the people can be surely enlightened by at least reminding them over and over again of what ‘BEING A TRUE INDIAN’ is ! Were those riots and agitations for that stipulated amount of time? No, definitely not. Let the same agitation and riot keep defending each one of ours’ mindset against such rancidity forever. Not solely, but with united efforts we can surely eradicate such maleficent mindset forever. Keep motivating and inspiring each and every fellow Indian to ‘Unite to be a true Indian, for the sake of humanity!’ Do your bit by at least remembering and keep inspiring … Don’t let the chilling day, freeze your mindset!
